We left for Boston on Wednesday. It was a horrible drive up and took us much longer then we planned. We crashed for the night as soon as we got to the hotel and in the morning Mom flew in. She took a shuttle to our hotel and we checked out and headed to the Boston Marriott Copley Place to check in for the remainder of our trip.
That afternoon we rode the Old Town Trolley and stopped at the Boston Commons and Frog Pond. The girls went on the carousel and then we grabbed some lunch. After, we headed down by the water to check out the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum.

The girls had fun throwing the tea over the side of the boat:
We then made a pit stop at Maria's where I inhaled a cannoli. This shop is ran by three generations of family and it was so authentic and delicious.
We strolled around Little Italy and then headed back to the hotel. The girls ate pizza with Grandma and Jeff and I went out for dinner together on Newberry Street. The next morning we went whale watching! We all felt a little queasy on the ride out but luckily we felt better once the boat stopped for a bit. We were able to see quite a few whales emerge to the surface of the water - very cool!
We went to Little Italy for lunch and it was such a delicious meal. Jade and Avery made a wish in the fountain along the way.
On our trolley ride back to the hotel Jeff passed out - food coma!
Trinity church - I just love the architecture!
Jeff and I grabbed a drink at Cheers and then walked down to the water for dinner at the Chart House.
Saturday morning we rode the iconic swan boats and walked most of the Freedom Trail:
We stopped at Fanueil Hall and Quincy Market for lunch:
That evening Jeff and I headed to the Coldplay concert which was at Gillette Field (Jeff was loving that! The fact that he is a Patriots fan is truly disappointing)
We had awesome floor seats but when we got there our seats had been moved. We ended up 5 rows from the stage! The opening acts were Foxes and Alessia Cara.
At about 9pm Coldplay took the stage. Their concert was AMAZING! They put on a fantastic show! I've been wanting to see them for years and I was so happy that Jeff and I were able to finally see them together.
We loved Boston! It really felt like a mini NYC. Most of the people we met were really nice and the city was very clean. We are so thankful that my Mom was able to fly out and spend some time with us sight seeing and for watching the girls for us in the evenings so Jeff and I could get a little alone time.
