Biltmore

Our next stop was Asheville, NC. I've been wanting to visit and stay at the Biltmore for a few years now. I was hoping Jeff and I would have a chance to do a little getaway here, but we turned it into a little family pit stop and had a wonderful time! The Biltmore house is absolutely breathtaking and the grounds are just beautiful!

I took so many pictures of the rooms inside the Biltmore that I cannot possibly upload them all, but here are a few. The details on the ceilings were just exquisite and the rooms were gorgeous.

poor Jade spiked a fever but was a trooper as we made our way through the Biltmore house...
Each room had a different ceiling...

After we did our self guided tour of the house we made our way to the gift shops and had lunch at the Stableside Café.

Avery picked out "fancy" jewels and a crown from the gift shop

Jade picked out some unique stones/gems and was still feeling a little out of sorts. Brooke picked out a horse pen carved of wood.

After our lunch we checked into our hotel accommodations which were on the Biltmore property.

We headed back to the Biltmore house to check out the gardens before heading to Antler Village.

We walked around Antler Village and did a wine tasting at the winery. The kids loved the grape juice and crackers they were served!

We went to dinner in town and called it a night. We slept in the next morning and checked out the farmyard before we hit the road.

This little pit stop on our trip was tons of fun. I was so happy that I finally got to experience the Biltmore and the kids seemed to really enjoy themselves!
