End of June

Not only did we update the landscaping in front of our house in June, but we had 2 swings put up between two trees in our backyard. The girls favorite thing to do is swing ... and I loved that we could incorporate it into our natural landscape as opposed to a big wooden playset.

Jeff stained the wood and I think it looks great!
We have seen this turtle a few times in the past month:

My planters on my porch have begun to fill in:

The last week of school the first grade had a little carnival. There were lots of different games and activities set up for the kiddos to do. I worked the nail salon. They also were able to turn in "money" they earned throughout the last few weeks of school and exchange it for little toys.

After the carnival, I stopped into the cafeteria to visit Avery while she was eating lunch. These are her favorite little friends:

The next day, the girls had a birthday party to go to and then Jeff and I had a date night at an authentic Italian restaurant downtown:

We loved eating outside here!

On Sunday the girls each picked out a piece of luggage to call their own for their trip to Buffalo!

and then Jade had cheer practice:

followed by our tradition of eating at Salsaritas:

That evening the girls played outside and mined for specials stones:

On Monday we drove to Virginia Beach. We spent the day playing on the beach and got a hotel for one night. The next morning we went to the beach for a bit and then drove home to start packing for our big trip.

We had so much fun! The girls LOVE the beach!
