We always look forward to going on a vacation during Spring Break. Three years ago we went to San Antonio and Sea World with my parents and the past two years we did Disney. This year, we decided to go on a cruise. We all had such a fun time and made such wonderful memories. Vacationing is by far one of my absolute favorite things to do with my very favorite people!
We drove to Galveston, Texas on Saturday afternoon. Our cruise was leaving on Sunday, but Jeff had some hotel points, so we decided to use them so we didn't feel rushed.
Sunday morning ready to leave the hotel and get to the port! |
Bunny ears and smiles! |
Unloading our van in the parking lot and I spy a cruise ship in the background!!! |
Boarding was by far the worst part of the trip. Lots of lines and lots of whining!
Finally on board! We walked around the ship and checked everything out before we had to report to our muster stations to go over drills.
The girls were settling into their room. We booked two interior rooms with a connecting door. It worked out nice, because we had 2 bathrooms this way. |
Before setting sail, we grabbed some food, checked out the ship, and played some mini golf.
Galveston is not very pretty ... but we were super excited to set sea! |
The next morning the girls woke up and saw nothing but water! They were psyched to get on their swimsuits and play in the pool and splash area. Boy, was it windy the WHOLE trip - but that didn't stop us from having a good time!
We spent the first two days at sea. So on day 2, we woke up and did it all over again!
On our second day, it was formal night. We checked the kids into "Adventure Ocean" where they ate and played. There were so many fun activities in the kid area, Brooke and Jade kept wanting to go back.
Me and my very favorite guy :-) |
Next stop, Jamaica!
