American Girl Birthday Party

On Saturday, Jade had her birthday party. She decided on having an American Girl birthday this year. So we invited her closest friends and celebrated at the American Girl Store in Dallas. We had a private room, where the girls enjoyed an appetizer of choice, meal of choice, and cake and ice cream for dessert. During the party, the girls embellished a tutu for their dolls and played a few games. It was a wonderful birthday party and lots of fun was had by all!

We arrived extra early so I could take Jade around the store and take it all in.

She saved up all of her birthday money that was sent to her this year to buy the girl of the year, Lea.

Then, we headed upstairs to the bistro to check out the party room and set up some of the extra things I brought in.

Come on in...

The party room was super cute and one of Jade's favorite things about the party was the chair she got to sit in!!

The American Girl deluxe party came with favor bags for each of the girls who attended. I added a special tag that said "Thank you for celebrating with the girl of the year, Jade." Inside the bags, the girls were given a skirt and shirt for their doll, as well as a wand, a tiara, and a cupcake for their doll. There was also a little birthday booklet inside. I choose to give each girl a cookie and also made them a bottle cap necklace that was personalized with their name and had the American Girl colors.

This was the second time I ate at the bistro, and the food is always excellent and their presentation is superb! The American Girl brand is truly special for all little girls!!

The birthday cake was served after the girls ate, crafted and played. I brought in a special cake topper that I had made that said "Birthday Girl, Jade" that resembled the American Girl logo.

All the girls had such fun and it was a great party!
Happy 6th Birthday, Jade!!

We got home and Jade unboxed Lea and put on her matching dress that we bought her. Jade said "she is even more beautiful in person!"

Two of her friends gave Jade an American Girl gift card. With the gift cards, she bought the chair that her doll can sit in at the table with her and also bought sunglasses for her doll.

Here is Jade the next morning. To bed, she wore the matching pajama set that her friend Addison gave her. Addi also gave her an Eiffel Tower crystal puzzle!

What a happy girl!
