Thanksgiving Week and Disney on Ice

Mom flew in for Thanksgiving week. It was so nice to have some company, especially on a week when the kids were off from school. We relaxed, saw a movie, crafted with the girls and saw Disney on Ice. We had a great time!

The girls were looking forward to seeing the Peanuts Movie. Avery wasn't impressed, but Brooke and Jade enjoyed it. Mom and I thought it was kind of lame :-/

Rise and Shine! Brooke had riding lessons and Jade had a private lesson at cheerleading right after:

We spent time crafting. We painted wooden boxes, did sand art, made shrink its and bracelets:

Mom cooked on Thanksgiving:

After dinner, I dropped mom off at Target, where she stood in line outside in the POURING rain for a Black Friday sale. We got Jeff a PS4 to put under the tree for Christmas. Way to go Mom!

On Friday, the day before Mom was leaving, we went to Disney on Ice. This was the first time the girls have seen the show, and I didn't know how much they would like it, but they REALLY enjoyed it.

Brooke and Jade picked out binoculars and Avery picked out a Rapunzel braid.

We were all excited for the show to start and we had wonderful seats. I went and grabbed the girls Sno-cones and they sure were a hit!

Jade's faces during the show crack me up. She was really watching all the details and really seemed to have a nice time.

Some pictures from the show:

After the show we ate at Olive Garden:

Avery sure enjoyed her pasta!

We had a wonderful week with Mom/"Grandma" visiting. It was so nice to spend time together!
