The last day before Christmas break, the students get to wear their pajamas to school. They have their end of month assembly (which they call a stampede) and their class parties.
I dropped the girls off at school at the usual time and then found a parking spot so I could attend the stampede and their parties. Jade received The Principal's Award. She was super excited about the award and the special pin she got.
After the stampede was the class parties. I attended the first half of Jade's party and the last half of Brooke's. At the parties, the students make a craft, have a snack, play some games and do a book exchange.
Brooke's class had a "snowball" fight. Excuse the blurry pictures, it was pretty intense trying to dodge the snowballs.
That evening, the girls stayed in their pajamas and headed to Girls Night Out for the "Flamingo Jingle." Brooke, Jade, and Avery always enjoy going to Sugar & Spice for some fun. They eat pizza, make crafts, stuff an animal, get their hair done, walk the runway, and watch a movie.
While the girls were at GNO, Mommy and Daddy celebrated our 9 year anniversary a little early. We went to Harvest, a local restaurant in downtown McKinney. They had excellent food and dessert was on the house!
