I knew we had to go back up to Virginia another weekend, because I was so unsettled by our trip. I didn't want to make a decision about where we could potentially spend the next 20 years of our life if I wasn't confident. So, we spent our next weekend house hunting some more.
I am SO glad we decided to go back to Virginia. Friday night while we grabbed a bite to eat I saw some new home signs and we took a drive to check it out. It was getting dark, so we didn't have a lot of time, but I knew within seconds that I found the right spot!!! I was thrilled. We went back in the morning and completely abandoned our plan of the other areas we had planned to look at.
I left that weekend so excited and can only hope all goes as planned over the next couple months!!
We wrapped up the last week in North Carolina and couldn't wait to get back home.
Hanging out at the hotel in our pajamas:
Fun at Chuck E. Cheese:
playing at the mall:
some new toys:
On our drive home we went by our old house. The new owners clearly don't take care of it. There is mold on the siding, the tree out front is broken and falling over, the landscaping is a disaster and has never been trimmed and there are weeds everywhere. I have such fond memories in this house and it pains me to see it this way.
We are finally home and settled back in Texas! Phew! That was one exhausting month!
