North Carolina, part 2

Week 2 in North Carolina.. we spent a lot of time at the library and we visited the Airborne & Special Operations Museum, which Jeff loved. There were two different rooms at the museum. The displays do not change in the main room, but in the other smaller room, the displays and theme gets changed out from time to time... and it just so happened to be dedicated to RANGERS when we were there!

Brooke loved this book!

and for some weird reason, Jade liked this one.

Iron Mike:

Sgt Petry (whom Jeff served next to in Afghanistan)

I was super impressed with the museum. There was so much to take in and the details were really amazing. We visited the gift shop after and Jeff couldn't believe he found this print available for purchase. James Dietz is an artist who is known for his works capturing military ground action. Jeff heard about him while he was in the Army, because Jeff had access to his prints at a discounted rate. This specific print that Jeff bought while we were at the museum depicts one of the missions that Jeff was apart of. These four men in the picture, Jeff served with. Jeff was just a few buildings away. Two men lost their lives, and one, Sgt Petry received the Medal of Honor. He is the only the second living recipient of the Medal.

I'm so happy Jeff was able to get this.

We spent a lot of nights in the pool at the hotel and we also went to the movies to see The Minions together one night.
