Back to School

It's hard to believe that summer is over and we are already back to school. Brooke is going into 2nd grade and Jade has started Kindergarten.

 

I look at this picture below which was taken almost 5 years ago and I wonder just where did my babies go? I was so naive in thinking that they would stay little forever. I was so wrong!

I am praying for a great school year for my girls, full of learning, fun, and friendships!

 

As sad as it is to be sending my two big kids off, I most definitely still have a toddler at home. I am going to cherish these days like no other, and I can't make promises that she isn't going to get spoiled rotten.

 

The last Friday night before school started we played outside with our friends...

 

 

and on Sunday Jade moved up to the K-3 room at church. To say she was thrilled would be an understatement!!

We celebrated Jeff's Birthday Monday night when we got back from our trip with a Blizzard Cake from DQ:

Before Jeff left he took Avery on a special date since he won't be here for her Birthday next month. They went to the mall and rode the carousel, ate some cookies, and went to Build-a-Bear.

The day Jeff left we woke up EARLY and had family pictures taken at 7:30am! After, we grabbed breakfast at IHOP and then went to the early service at church, then Jeff had to pack to get to the airport.

We met some friends for dinner at Chick-fil-a on Wednesday:

 

and the ice cream machine broke down, so we went and got Frostys!

 

 

On Thursday the girls went to the Post Office with me to help ship some last minute Posh Tot packages!

 

 

and then it was off to Meet the Teacher night at school...

We organized Jade's supplies and found her cubby. She is a little hesitant about going to Kinder, she really misses Mrs. Sandy her preschool teacher and talks about her all the time! Hopefully Jade has a great Kindergarten year!
