Our 4th of July

In the morning we headed to our downtown for their annual 4th of July parade. The parade started at 10 am, and it was already HOT! All the shady spots were already taken. Despite some whining and complaining we made it through the whole thing.

We grabbed some lunch and headed home. We played outside on our swing set and our new water slide. The girls had tons of fun splashing around. We grilled some burgers and dogs for dinner, had baths, and headed to see some fireworks.

I brought my camera with me to fireworks, but of course I went to take a picture- and the battery died! So I took a few pics on my phone, but they didn't turn out so great. We brought a few fireworks and the girls got to do sparklers while we waited for the fireworks show to begin. Brooke liked the fireworks but wasn't a fan of waiting for them to start. Jade cried and whined the whole time and wanted to go home and go to bed. And Avery did good pretty much the whole time except she kept saying she was hungry. Never a dull moment! Maybe one year everyone will be happy?!?
