catching up

Not much to post these days. It's hot, summer had definitely arrived in Texas- we tend to go to the splash pad a lot or keep busy doing crafts in the house.

On Wednesday we met up with some of Brooke's friends from Kindergarten for Mexican and then to play at the splash pad. Jeff took Jade and Avery for some ice cream and then to the park. When he picked us up we let them join us and splash in their clothes for a bit.

Today Brooke and Jade went to a Fancy Nancy Posh Pet Camp! It was at one of the cute shops in downtown McKinney from 10-1. The girls stuffed their own pet, made birth certificates for them and made a necklace. They were able to dress up and have their hair done in preparations for The Posh Pet Parade on their runway. They brought their lunch with them and were give cupcakes for a special snack while we were there.

Hard to tell in this picture... but they put Jade's hair in a bow shape and sprayed it with glitter.  

 Brooke didn't want to get her hair done but said she enjoyed herself and wanted to go back again sometime. Jade especially liked dressing up and walking down the runway she said. Brooke preferred to be in the audience.
