My cousin, Sara, suggested I do a blog post showing some pictures of our house. I thought that was such a good idea. We've been here for just about 2 years and I haven't posted many house pictures since we first moved in when it was a blank slate.
The outside of our house... our landscaping really needs some improvement! But for now it just isn't a priority for us. |
My favorite place in the house is the kitchen. It is MUCH smaller than our kitchen back in Tennessee. I love this kitchen though, the only thing I don't like is the breakfast nook is super tiny. We bump into each other a lot in there :-)
Our downstairs is set up extremely similar to our old house. The living room is directly next to the kitchen and breakfast nook. And then our bedroom is off of the living room, whereas in Tennessee there was also a bedroom off of the living room, however, it was the guest room.

We also lost a lot of closet space in our Master when we moved:
Powder Room Downstairs:
Below you will see a door which leads to our garage. So when we walk in the house through the garage, we enter our laundry room and mud room. This is one space that I really like in our Texas house. In Tennessee, you stepped directly into the house from the garage.

Front Door:
When you walk through the front door, immediately to your left is a set of french doors, which is our office.
Our office still needs to be decorated. We finally hung up our diplomas on the wall behind our desk, which you can see in this picture below.
When you walk upstairs you will 9x out of 10 see this.... a huge mess! Just keeping it real.
We have our old couches up here, a bookcase full of the kids books, all of their toys, and a TV. It's like pulling teeth getting these girls to clean up after themselves. One day, when we don't have so many little toys, hopefully we can make this space look nice!
Brooke's room:
Brooke has a little room off of her main room:
In this room she keeps most of her toys and her horse barn
This desk separates Brooke's and Avery's room- you can also see the door next to the desk, which is their bathroom. |
Avery's room still needs to be decorated:

Jade's room:
I have a bedspread in mind that I want to get Jade but we haven't wanted to spend the money on it, so for now it's this pink blanket we had lying around. |
I measured and taped off these diagonal lines and Jeff painted them. |

And that's a wrap!
