Avery's Thanksgiving Program at school

On the last day of school before break, the kindergartners had a Thanksgiving Program. They sang some cute songs and then everyone was served pumpkin pie.

My mom and I helped cut pie before the event started:

Brooke's Horse Show

Brooke had a horse show last Sunday at the place she takes lessons. It was called the "fun" show and she was in two events.

Brooke was excited that she was paired with Merlin, who is one of her favorite horses!

Jade and Avery loved taking pictures and videos of Brooke doing her thing.

Brooke giving us a little sass during her event:

So proud of our Brooke. She walked away with a first place ribbon and a third place! Way to go!

Spirit of Fall Competition

Last Saturday Jade had her first competition of the season. We were up bright and early to drive to Maryland.

Great start to the season with a first place win!

On the way home, it went from 70 degrees and sunny to rainy and cold in a matter of just a half hour. Passing by a church close to our home we saw the most beautiful rainbow.

Here are some pictures from an awesome little stream we found when we were navigating through the woods in our backyard:

Mountain Trails

We took advantage of having Daddy home with us this weekend. On Friday night we had dinner out and then saw the new movie, Trolls.

On Saturday, we all took advantage of sleeping in. Jade had a dress rehearsal for cheerleading in the afternoon and we got some things around the house.

Sunday we headed to the Shenandoah National Park and drove along Skyline drive and hit up some of the trails. We love that we live just an hour away from the mountains!
