Catching up!

I snapped a picture of our house the other day. This is the best our grass has looked and the bushes are starting to grow in nicely - they were super small and tiny when we first moved in.

Grama and Grampa came to visit for Jade & Avery's dance recital and the girls smoothered Grampa.

Mom came with me to the dress rehearsal.

Meanwhile, Grampa stayed home with Brooke, where they spent some one on one time together and Brooke made this "pom pom" pet.

That afternoon we headed to Downtown McKinney. Brooke picked out a magic trick from the Magic Shop and Jade and Avery both picked out a stuffed animal at Goodies. Before we headed home we went to Mom & POPcorn for some candy.

Friday, Brooke had riding lessons and Grama and Grampa were able to watch..

I kept these two in the van with me...and we colored pictures...

Then we went to the Splash Pad:

We stopped at In-n-Out Burger so that Grampa could try it

Saturday morning Jeff arrived back home from training and we all headed to the dance recital.

After, we got treated to Olive Garden

and Mom & Dad put the kids to bed so Jeff and I could go out together for a bit.

Sunday, after church, Jeff took my parents to the airport while I helped at church to get ready for VBS. Monday morning, this is us at 6:45 heading to church. We had to be there at 7am each day! It was pretty exhausting. VBS didn't start until 9am but I was doing childcare for all of the volunteers children, and their daily meeting was at 8, which meant the kids started getting dropped off at 7:30.

This was Jade's first year she was old enough for VBS and she enjoyed it!

Eating Breakfast that we brought to church each morning...

On the last day they had the whole lobby of our church filled with bounce houses.

Thursday morning Jeff's mom and Aunt Kim arrived at the airport. Jeff picked them up and then grabbed us from our last day of VBS. Avery was thrilled that Aunt Kim brought a ton of her girls old dress up clothes - what a way to that girls heart!

Thursday night Jade had cheer. Each skill is represented by a different bead color. Once they master that skill, they get the corresponding bead put on their necklace. Jade was thrilled to show me her necklace - green represents her standing back-bend and blue is her cartwheel. She is close to getting the purple bead, which is her back-bend kickover! Go, Jade!

After cheer, we ate out at Texas Roadhouse. Jeff and I packed and went to bed, because we were leaving early the next morning!!!
