Last Tuesday Brooke's preschool class celebrated Mothers Day a little early and they had us mom's come to class for the first half hour for "Muffins with Mom." Brooke and I made a necklace together and she served me fruit and muffins. I was really looking forward to being able to go to this by myself with her and spend some one on one time together, but with Jeff being out of town it just didn't work out. Jade and Avery were with me, but they were actually really behaved and it worked out anyways!

Oh- and I think I broke my toe the night before. How about that? As if I didn't have enough on my plate while Jeff was gone- this HAD to happen too!

Thursday was Brooke's spring program at school. They sang classic children's songs and after they had a small reception. Here is Brooke with some of her friends:

Later that night we had Kindergarten round up at Brooke's elementary school (yes, I really had a lot going on while Jeff was away- I won't bore you with EVERYTHING we had to manage on our own, we are just really glad he is back!!!) We toured the school and met the kindergarten teachers. I bought Brooke a t-shirt with her school logo, and she wore it to bed that night. She seemed to really like the school a lot, and I have to say I was very impressed with it myself.

The past two years in Tennessee we went strawberry picking. Brooke loved going and really enjoyed always getting the homemade strawberry ice cream they made. We decided to go here in Texas, but I have to say it was pretty disappointing. The drive was long and it wasn't nearly as nice as the one we were used to.

We didn't even have to show Avery what to do- she got right in there and started picking!

Wait for it... wait for it..... this little one has MASTERED the pout- arms crossed, lip out, and a "hmmm"- it really is one of the cuttest things we've ever seen.

On the way home we pulled over on the interstate to check out this huge state of texas :-)
