I can't believe that Brooke will be starting kindergarten next year! In some ways I don't know where the time has gone, I still can't fathom that she is actually FIVE and not my baby or even a toddler anymore, she is a little girl. She is more than ready for kindergarten though, and she really likes school- I think it is going to be so much fun for her.
Brooke with her gift for her teacher:
We dropped Brooke off at school in the morning and had to be back at 1 for the graduation. I decided to try and get some pictures of Avery- but she just doesn't sit still.
I know her hair looks like a red color in the pictures, but its not red at all, its actually a blonde color. I remember when Brooke was real little, everyone thought her hair was red too when they saw pictures of her. Brooke's hair is dark now, Avery has the lightest hair compared to her sisters at this age.
The Preschool Graduation was really nice. The kids sang some songs, and her teacher put together a slideshow of pictures and music of the kids and everything they did all year at school. It made me cry, and Brooke's teacher, Ms. Sandy was crying too. Her teacher has such a heart for kids this age, and she has stated on more than one occasion how special this class meant to her this year. She was a wonderful teacher for Brooke to have, and really was a huge blessing. Ms. Sandy also took the time to put together a scrapbook for each student. I know this took a lot of work and it was such a special thing to receive.
When the kids received their diplomas, the director called their names and said what they wanted to be when they grow up. Most of the girls wanted to be nurses, but our Brooke- she wants to be a racecar driver. Really? This was news to me, but not shocking- maybe she really does want to be a racecar driver, I wouldn't put anything past Brooke. She also is coined as the "class clown." I think its pretty clear, Brooke takes after Jeff- sometimes I don't even think she is my child :-)
