Finishing up the week

When we got home Thursday morning, Jeff had to head out to work. The kids were EXHAUSTED-  but Brooke and Avery refused to sleep... here they are watching a movie together.

 

Jade is our best sleeper... she may have refused to take a nap in her room, but 30 seconds into the movie, and she was out on the couch...

 

Friday, Jade had dance and she got her recital costume...

 

Friday night we grabbed dinner at Texas Roadhouse and then went for a walk at Adratica here in McKinney. We grabbed some Starbucks first because I really wanted to try their new Caramel Crunch Frap- and it did not disapoint! I got the kids a cake pop, and they were in sweet heaven!

 

Saturday we walked around historic downtown McKinney for a little while.

 

We stopped at the MOM and POPcorn Company and let the girls pick out some candy.

We had a fun week and visit with Grama R!

Great Wolf Lodge

Wednesday afternoon we headed to the Great Wolf Lodge with Jeff's mom...and we had a really fun time!

 

The 'Kid Cabin' room consisted of a double bed, a pull out sofa, and then a separate area with a twin bed as well as a bunk bed. Brooke slept in the top bunk, and Jade slept below her. Jeff's mom slept in the single twin while Jeff, myself, and Avery camped out in the double.

Let the fun begin!

Brooke, Jade, and Avery all had a ton of fun. Brooke especially had a ball- she was able to enjoy the big water slides with Jeff. She also loved the wave pool. I stayed with Avery most of the time, while Jeff's mom was in charge of Jade. We spent a few hours at the water park and then grabbed some dinner at the hotel.

 

After dinner we changed back into our suits, and went and played again for a little over an hour. Overall the kids did great, but we pushed it a little too far- and Jade and Avery were minutes away from a meltdown. I quickly took my que and rushed Avery up to the room, and Jeff was close behind with Brooke. I thought Jade would be fine but unfortunately, poor Robin ended up having to carry Jade up to the 3rd floor, kicking and screaming the whole way. It wasn't pretty.

 

We got the kids changed into their pajamas and headed down to the lobby for storytime.

 

At the end of storytime we got to meet Wylie the Wolf!

We really had a fun time at the Great Wolf Lodge, and Jeff and I hope to take the kids back there again in the near future! Thanks for having fun with us, Robin!
