On Sunday, the day after the birthday party- we headed to San Antonio to see the Riverwalk and Sea World. It took about 5 hours to get there. Avery, who is usually not fond of the car seat, and cries when she is in the car, did amazing on this trip. Maybe it was because I was sitting next to her, since my dad was in the passenger seat- but either way it was a successful trip! When we got there, we checked into the hotel, and then headed to the Riverwalk for dinner.
After dinner we went for a ride on the riverwalk boat tour. Avery and Jade weren't so behaved during the 35 minute tour, but we survived, and the riverwalk is just beautiful!

The following day we went to Sea World. The weather was in the 80's, and we must have went at the most perfect time of year. The park opened for the season the previous weekend, and we went on a Monday- needless to say it was not busy at all, we didn't have to wait to go on any rides, and we saw everything we wanted to. The kids had a blast and we made some great memories, some so hysterical that I can't share due to the fact I wouldn't want to embarrass anyone :-)
Fun on the Rides:
We saw three shows, the sea lions, dolphins and of course, the killer whales. The shows were fun to watch, and actually all the kids enjoyed them, even Avery!
We were able to get close to the dolphins and even touch them. While I was leaning over the tank with Jade so she could reach in, one of the dolphins decided to splash us. Jade got soaked and cried at first, but then quickly laughed and wanted to get splashed again!

We had such a great trip to San Antonio and Sea World!!
