Yesterday we went to the Dallas Arboretum. It was beautiful there, the flowers were absolutely gorgeous. I definitely wanted to spend more time there then we did, especially since it was pricey to get in- but the kids were just not behaving at all. Avery was whining and crying the whole time and the other two weren't listening at all. Pretty typical 'day in the life' of the Owens Party of Five :-)
We went to Red Lobster for dinner. Jeff and I haven't been there since I was pregnant with Jade, so it's been awhile. I guess we just haven't ventured there since the menu isn't exactly 'kid-friendly.' Granted they have chicken fingers, but Texas Roadhouse is definitely more Brooke and Jade's speed. Regardless, we came to find out- Avery has quite the expensive taste buds. She tried Lobster and Crab Legs, and enjoyed them both- especially the crab legs!
Once we got home and got the kids to bed, we played the role of the Easter Bunny and hid their baskets!
Avery found hers right away. It was in the fireplace (where she is always looking in anyways), so Daddy helped her get it out.
Jade's was under the table... Brooke found it first and spoiled the fun of Jade finding it. Jade didn't mind though, she just wanted Candy!
Once Brooke found her stuff, she was really excited- about 2 minutes before this picture though, she was on the couch pouting, saying the Easter Bunny didn't bring her anything.
