Summer is in full swing here! The temperatures have been HOT and the heat index HIGH! The kids have been having a blast, despite a somewhat crabby day from them today (but hey, we all have those kinds of days even as adults!)
Below is a picture of a cicada. Disgusting, I know! I haven't posted any pictures of them yet, but figured I had to, since Jade seems fascinated by them, yuck!!!! This is one of the 13 year cicadas, that hit the Middle Tennessee area in May this year. Them come out every 13 years and stay about 6 weeks I think. They are completely harmless, but the noise they make is very loud. I'm ready for them all to go away!!
Jade joyfully points out the Cicada to me... she was so intrigued, she even pet it, GROSS!!!
