Our May trip to Buffalo

As with all our trips to Buffalo... we were in and out in 2 days. It's stressful and doesn't leave us a lot of time for anything. Luckily, my parents always are extremely helpful in making everything work the best it can, thank goodness for them!!!
Thursday, I packed up the car and met Jeff at his work at 5:30 and we hit the road. Traveling with two little kids is surely not the easiest or most fun thing in the world, but to be honest, the girls did great! This was our 3rd trip to Buffalo since September, and each trip we were on a time crunch. They got this whole traveling thing down and I really couldn't ask for better behavior out of them!!! We got to buffalo at about 4 in the morning. Brooke of course wrapped her arms around Gramma for a good half hour and then she went to bed for 3 hours. Jade however didn't want to go back to bed... but she did take a long nap in the morning.
We were looking forward to lunch since we got home from Buffalo in February! Jeff picked up a bunch of good food from Metro and we set up a picnic in the living room...and we all chowed down! Mmmmm... my mouth is salvating just thinking of how delicious that pizza was... this is one of the few reasons we miss Buffalo! Saturday morning and all set to go for the wedding! Hips to the right: Hips to the left... what can I say, she is a bit of a diva!
Brooke started going down the aisle swinging her basket back and forth... she then quickly covered her eyes for the rest of the walk. Not sure if she covered them because she hit a patch of sun, or if it was because people were giggling at her. Either way, she was adorable!
Brooke sat like an angel during the entire ceremony, she really did well! So proud!
Had to grab a picture of the groom, Kevin, watching his bride come down the aisle. If you've seen 27 dresses, than you probably remember what Jane (Katherine Heigl) says, "You know how the bride makes her entrance and everyone turns to look at her? That's when I look at the groom. Cause his face says it all you know? The pure love there." Well...to be honest, that is truly my favorite part of weddings too, I just love to see the grooms expression, there is something so amazing about that moment!!!
After the wedding I spent some time at my parents house with the girls until I had to meet Jeff at the reception. Jade (who is NOT a big eater) enjoyed eating an Arby's sandwich, she wouldn't put it down.
Brooke got this shirt as a gift from the bride for being in the wedding, among a few other things, but it was just too cute... it says, "I'm Brooke and I'm in charge of the petals"
Brooke going for a walk with Grampa:
Brooke decides she wants to climb a tree (can this really be my kid? Jeffs, yes... mine, I don't know about that!)
The girls had a lot of fun playing outside, and of course it helps that Grama always has tons of new toys to spoil the kids with...and special little snacks for them! The trip itself went great... even though it was quick, and we unfortunately just aren't able to spend time with anyone or do much of anything. We got back Sunday around 6 and the saying, "There's no place like home" couldn't be more true. It was nice to just walk in the door and have the kids have a sense of normalcy and routine again! We miss our Buffalo family though!
