I couldn't wait to decorate for Christmas in our new home. To me, this classic colonial home just screamed "put a wreath in every window." So that's what I did! We went with simple but classic. Jeff was out of town the week I decorated - so he was surprised to see that I had it all done when he pulled in.
Brooke's room was finally finished at the end of November:

I found a new favorite coffee shop downtown:
The kids all had Christmas parties at school on their last day before break. Unfortunately they do not invite all the parents to the parties like at our old school (I think this school is just too small to accommodate). However, Jade's class needed some volunteers so I was able to go to her party.
The next day we had an ice storm and had to travel to Maryland for another cheer competition.
We left super early to account for the weather and were there with more than enough time to spare. So we had lunch at a nice restaurant at the Gaylord (which was where the competition was).
Her team did so well. There were 9 teams in their division and they placed 2nd. 0.6 points separated them from first place.
After the competition, we drove to Gainesville/Haymarket for Jeff's work party. I totally forgot to take pictures while we were there - but we did get a picture of the pig!
The next day Brooke celebrated her friend Caroline's birthday at her house:
