I can't believe our time here in Texas has come to an end. The movers come tomorrow to start packing up our house and by Tuesday night we should be on the road. Texas blessed us more than we ever could have imagined. We were part of an awesome church that our whole family loved, grew at, and served at. The girls attended a fantastic school and made some wonderful friends. Brooke had a fabulous connection with her riding coach and learned SO much. Jade had such a special bond with the owners of the cheer gym we went to and flourished. We are very sad to leave. We've been here for just about 4 years and we really were starting to put our roots down. We know that God will be with us as we journey into this next chapter of our lives and pray that he has his hand over all we do.
Last week was VBS at church:
Fun and exhausting week!
Our church tried doing VBS at night this year from 6-9 in hopes of reaching more people. The turnout was higher than last year, so I guess it worked. During the day we tried a new splash pad:
Jade practiced some stretching. She is NOT flexible AT ALL. She has a lot of work to do. She is a mighty little tumbler; but we are working on her flexibility.
Brooke had her last riding lesson. Bayley (her instructor) gave Brooke a gift, which was a horse bag full of horse tools for when Brooke gets a horse one day (the jury is still out on that one though!), and a photo album full of pictures from Brooke's time there. We will all miss Bayley - she was such a blessing in Brooke's life.
Last night we went to our old neighbors house to visit. We haven't seen them since they moved, so it was nice to catch up before we leave.
Friday was Jade's last day at Pro Spirit. That was an EMOTIONAL time. The owners cried, I was crying.. it was ROUGH! To say we will miss Pro Spirit and Coach Jeff & Diana is an understatement. They are wonderful people.
It's difficult to say goodbye but we are staying positive about this next chapter of our life. We are grateful for the memories and the time we had here in McKinney, Texas.
