Terrific Tuesday!

Just keeping it real- some days being a stay at home mom are long and draining. It seems some days are filled with more crying and whining than smiles. And then other days- are PERFECT! And today is one of those days! I'm so grateful for an awesome hubby who gives me the opportunity to stay at home with my little loves! He is a GREAT provider and an AWESOME Husband and Daddy!

Yesterday...

Just a typical shopping trip to Target
Brooke's bottom tooth has been loose since last week... I was pretty sure yesterday after feeling it when she got home from school, that by the end of the evening she was going to be one tooth short. So I snapped a  picture of her full mouth- 20 teeth.

Jade got a special package in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa for the end of school. It was this sweet little monkey that opens up- and inside is a monkey necklace. Jade was over the moon and kept saying "I can't believe they got me a monkey!" Adorable!
In the evening we went for a car ride and Avery fell asleep. So I took her right up to bed. Next I got Jade settled in for the night. Jeff and I were downstairs with just Brooke and she asked that we pull her tooth. She wanted Mommy first but after tugging a little, she said, I guess "Daddy needs to do it." Jeff explained that it was going to be kind of like a band-aid. That if he went real slow it would hurt, but if he went fast, it would only hurt for a little bit. She asked if she could have a piece of chocolate if it came out, so we said yes. Her response: "Yank it then!" We were cracking up.... hilarious.

Less than a minute later and there was her first baby tooth!!! Not one tear, she was super brave!

Her first smile with one less tooth

Brooke insisted on cleaning her tooth really really good for the tooth fairy.

She hung her tooth fairy pillow, put the tooth in the pocket, and hopped into bed- literally.
Mommy got to work printing out a Tooth Fairy receipt and a letter.

The note says that the Tooth Fairy left something special for her first tooth (a DS game)... because in the future ... the going rate is 5 bucks a tooth. 3 kids x 20 teeth = 100 bucks a mouth. I think that is sufficient.

Last week I had already prepared for her tooth to come out and put $5 aside and sprayed it with glitter hair spray... since the Tooth Fairy of course would put Fairy Dust on the money!

Brooke came running down to my room this morning and was THRILLED! I have literally never seen her so excited about something. She showed me all of her stuff, and just kept saying, "I can't believe this!" She even noticed how the money sparkled. She kept saying how normal money doesn't sparkle, that it must be because her tooth was so shiny and sparkly.

When it was time to leave for school and Jade and Avery started waking up- Brooke was so excited to show Jade what she got! Jade was clutching to her Tooth Fairy pillow and asked when she would lose a tooth.
After breakfast I took Jade and Avery for a walk along some trails.

I packed a lunch for us girls and we had a picnic lunch by the water.

Then we stopped home to fill up our waters and put some sneakers on so we could go to the park.

I got such enjoyment seeing how excited Brooke was this morning with her goodies from the Tooth Fairy! and Jade, Avery and I had such a fun afternoon and hope we can go play again later when Brooke gets home!!!

I'm taking notes from you! That was pretty much the BEST tooth fairy gift EVER!! :) You probably had just as much fun preparing it for her as she had getting the surprise! :)
