For some reason, January always seems to be a pretty uneventful month. I have to admit, it is nice to look at my dry erase calendar that is hanging up in our pantry, and see white space on it. It's nice not to have a million and one things to do... and although it's not an excuse for the other times, but the extra free time this month has really allowed me to draw closer to God and reflect on His word, I'm feeling happy and at peace :-)
Catching up....
I am literally dying over this kid in a leotard.. she is my little butter ball. She begged me to put it on ... so her and Brooke did some stretches and summersaults.

I may have hit another car while driving.. my side mirror scraped against another car while I was on my way home from dropping Brooke off at school... I really thought I had enough room to squeeze into the left lane, but obviously I was mistaken.... |

Jade is still obsessed with her monkey... |
Mommy and Avery ran errands in matching shoes :-)
The weather here is up and down... one day its beautiful and the next it is freezing... when it is nice, we always find some way to enjoy it.

Off to dance class for Jade... |

Daddy gives the best pony rides... who needs a real pony! |

Sunday morning before church.... |
We invited our neighbors over to watch the New England Patriots game this past weekend... Jade got hurt at some point doing who knows what, and our neighbor, David, picked her up to make sure she was okay... she ended up passing out on him- and the little girl in the picture is Leighton, his daughter... Her and Jade will be in Kindergarten together (not next school year, but the following), future BFF's in the making...
On Monday, the kids were off from school... Brooke had a birthday party to go to...
 |
I picked up her friend, Cade, and took them to the party. |

Brooke's friend Kolby (in the bow tie, isn't he darling?) and the birthday boy, Lex |
Today, while Brooke and Jade were both at school, I met my old friend Mary (from Buffalo), who lives here in Texas. at the mall. The kiddos played in the play area for a little bit, we grabbed some lunch at the food court and then went for a quick ride on the carousel.
Here is Brooke showing off her "Pete the Cat" book. The Pete the Cat books are extremely popular among the young readers, and Brooke loves them. The author, Eric Litwin, came to Brooke's school last Friday and read to the kids and sang songs with them. Mr. Eric signed her book :-)
