Last Soccer Game

Tuesday night was Brooke's last soccer game. What a night we had... I've never felt so overwhelmed in my life. The game was going great until halftime when Brooke gets a team snack and drink. She always shares with Jade (which is great), but this time they ended up arguing. The small itty bitty bag of cheez-its was like the rope of a tug a war game. The bag busted and our blanket was covered with cheez-its, which resulted in 2 screaming toddlers... and my kids don't just whine quietly and get upset...their scream is no lie about the same decible as a concert.

After the game we went out for pizza with the team at one of Jeff and I's favorite restaurants, Mellow Mushroom.... I debated awhile, and really wasn't up for the challenge of going out to a restaurant by myself with 3 kids, but wanted Brooke to get to experience the whole "out with your team after a game sporty thing" .... We went, it was rough, but we survived.

While we survived...it was not exactly pretty. I was flustered the whole time...did nothing but try to keep Avery happy while chasing Jade all over the place and keeping an eye on Brooke who was literally hanging off the poles of the bus they have inside the restaurant.... it was late when we left, about 8... normally no big deal, but I had to get home, get them bathed and to bed, and make pasta salad for Brooke's last day of school the next day! I gave Avery a bottle in the car on the way home, come to find out I never mixed the formula in it and gave her straight water... later when we got home and Brooke and Jade were in bed, I decided to give Avery a real bottle and I poured the water into the bottle without a liner. My counter top and floors were covered with water. I did however get my pasta salad done, took a shower, and went to bed by 11:30. I was exhausted.
