We had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend and truly enjoyed our limited time with Daddy. On Saturday morning we had 2 showings on our house, so we headed to the Renaissance Festival.
Every week when we go to dance class, we take the 840. From the interstate you can see a huge castle off in the distance (you know, the one in Taylor Swifts music video "It's a Love Story"). Well Brooke always asks if we can go to the castle, and I always tell her yes, one day. Well today was the day! The annual renaissance festival was this month, so Jeff and I thought it would be perfect to check it out so we could take Brooke to see the castle. Well, EPIC FAIL... the line for the castle tour was ridiculously long. We even got there early! They have to shuttle people over on school buses, and after about 15 minutes waiting in line and barely moving... we decided we had to bribe Brooke to leave with ice cream. We did walk around the festival a bit, but it was just way too hot to be doing that with the kids, but we still had fun. Here are a few pictures of the festival:
After the festival, we came home for lunch and to have some ice cream. We played at the house for a little while and then headed to Mellow Mushroom for dinner, since Brooke and Jade LOVE to go there. (pictures taken with iphone = poor quality)
When we got home from dinner, we blew up the bounce house and turned the sprinkler on and let the kiddos play. We finished off the night with a popsicle and were so thankful to have a great day together!
Sunday morning I made a nice breakfast and then we got ready for church.
After church we stopped home to feed Avery and pack up a picnic lunch. We headed to Arrington Vineyards and had a lovely lunch together outside under the trees.
At home, Brooke and Jade limbo
We headed to Nashville for the evening. We walked around downtown for a bit, than decided to grab a dinner at Hard Rock Cafe. Neither Jeff or I haven't been to a Hard Rock in years, so it was a nice treat.
After dinner, we headed to Cumberland park. Brooke and Jade played a bit and then we grabbed a snocone for them!
We finished the night off with some more backyard fun!
We are counting down the days until Jeff gets to come home again!!
