Happy LONG Weekend to you!!

We started off this lovely 4th of July weekend with a trip to the Pancake Pantry in Nashville. We got there around 8, and waited maybe 15 minutes, so it wasn't too bad of a wait. No, we didn't see anyone famous, and secretly, I was hoping...okay maybe hoping isn't the right word.. fingers crossed, thinking about it all day, praying that maybe just maybe Keith Urban would be there! A girl can dream, right? I mean my first trip to Nashville, 6 years ago I was determined I was going to see Mr. Urban. Everywhere I went my eyes were peeled. At this point the other NK (Nicole Kidman, not me)  wasn't in the picture, and either was Jeff, so I seriously thought I had a chance. I will chalk it up to I was still young and naive...but to this day, I'm sure I would have butterflies if I could meet him =)

Only my child would eat all the lucious M&M's off the pancakes... and leave the rest. But hey... who are we kidding, I myself would choose dessert over a meal anyday!!!
After breakfast we headed over to Centennial Park. We thought it would be nice to walk around before it started getting too hot. By 10 o'clock we were all melting, and agreed it was time to leave!

Super Daddy! Thank goodness for Jeff's incredibly strong physique =)

The Parthenon (replica)

She's a poser .. what can I say. Every new spot we find she says "Take a picture, Mommy."

Here it appears Brooke and Jade are getting along, frolicking in the gardens. What you will not see is 30 seconds later, where Brooke deliberately plows Jade over ... Sisterly Love, right? Gotta take the good with the bad....

Before going home we stopped up at the social event that was going on in our community. They had hot dogs, a bounce house, and a firetruck. We literally stayed for about 5 minutes. The kids were in desperate need of a nap. Jade enjoyed sitting on the front of the firetruck, and didn't mind a little photo op, where Brooke was no longer in the mood for any pictures!!!

We hope everyone has a great 4th of July weekend!!!
