On Saturday, Avery had her first competition of the season. The competition was held at the Gaylord National. Avery was super pumped about her competition and she did great!
She smiled so big the whole time and knew all of her counts. We were so proud of her! We grabbed some dinner in between her performance and awards at one of the restaurants at the resort and walked around a bit.
Here is Avery smiling so big with her first medal!
Avery was so thrilled and her sisters were very supportive of her too!
After the competition we walked around the National Harbor.
We rode the Capital Wheel over the Potomac River. I'm not sure why, but Brooke was a little scared.
We headed back to the hotel and Jade and Avery swam for a bit in the hotel pool before we called it a night.
The next morning the girls wrote their letters to Santa and we dropped them off in Santa's Mailbox. Then, we went to see ICE!
This was our 3rd time seeing ICE! We saw it in Nashville, Dallas, and now DC. It's always amazing to see these amazing ice sculptures. We especially liked this years theme!
Poor Jade kept holding her ears because she was so cold.
The girls each slid down the ice slides.
We grabbed some Hot Chocolate so we could warm up and then loaded in the van to head back to Virginia. What a great weekend we had!
