Happy Birthday, Jade!

Happy Birthday, Jade!!

I can't believe that Jade is already 6 years old.
Where does the time go?
It seems like just yesterday I was holding
that 5lbs 15oz of perfection!

Jade woke up and had balloons in her room and a special
"I'm the Birthday Girl" Cheer bow!

When she came down for breakfast she opened her gift from us. She has been asking for a Nintendo DS, so we got her one and a few games.

I threw some sprinkles on her waffles and plopped some candles in and we sang Happy Birthday. Since it was a school morning we didn't have time for anything fancy and we were in a bit of a rush, but Jade was beaming. I mean, sprinkles, at 7am? What six year old wouldn't like that?

Jade has been counting down to her birthday now for awhile - she was waiting for her special day!! I brought lunch to school for Jade and we hung out together during her lunch period. Tonight she will hand out cookies at cheerleading and we will have some at the house too. Saturday is her party and she is super excited!

Happy Birthday, sweet girl!
Year 5 was awesome - I can't even imagine what year 6 will look like!

Life lately...

This month Jade celebrated her 100th day of school. All the kindergartners were asked to dress like an 100 year old - so we pulled this together:

We saw Kung Fu Panda 3:

My friend, Rebecca, who is another cheer mom, took some pictures of Avery at the mall. She is a photographer and we "traded." I gave her daughter a black dress and necklace from our shop and she snapped a few pics of Avery :-)

On Tuesday I received a phone call from the school nurse. I had to rush and pick Jade up because she sliced her forehead on a brick pillar in the playground at recess. She had to have her forehead glued, and I am so upset about the scar that will be left on her sweet face:

Avery had her Valentines Day party at preschool on Thursday:

Friday was 50's day at school for Brooke and Jade. This day at school the students have their Valentine's Day parties and a family Sock Hop in the evening. (I tried to edit out Jade's poor forehead)
