Pie and Carriage Ride :-)

Yesterday, we went to downtown McKinney and stopped at Emporium Pie. This is a local pie place that has a location in Dallas and one in McKinney. I've heard great things about this place and especially their "Father Christmas" pie, I just had to try it! Let me just say, it did not disappoint! This was hands down the best pie I have EVER had in my life!!

The oh so amazing Father Christmas Pie!!!

Everyone left this place HAPPY!!

In the evening we went out to dinner and then did a carriage ride. We did this carriage ride two years ago and last year we tried but it didn't work out. Jeff waited in line for us for an hour in the cold while I waited in the van with the girls until it was our turn!!

Christmas Party at Brooke's School

Today was Brooke's last day of school before break. The kiddos wore Pajamas to school and had a fun party!

Jade and Leighton

Brooke got a Merit Award at the stampede!

These two crazy girls gave me a run for my money today. Bringing them to Brooke's school is NEVER easy and usually leaves me feeling frustrated. One day everyone will be behaved and self sufficient and I can imagine I will think back to these days remembering all the craziness!

These 3 girlies are going to Kindergarten next year- WATCH OUT!

Jade and Avery tickling Mrs. Valerie

I'm thankful for a friend that lets my kids do this to them! :-)

The kiddos all asked if they could make silly faces

Preschool Winter Program

Tuesday Jade and Avery had their Winter Program at school. All the kids wore winter hats, scarves, and gloves and sang songs on stage. They were all super cute and did a great job!!

Avery was all about the cake after :-)

Great job cuties!!

some Christmas fun!

Last Tuesday we had cookies with santa at Brooke's school. We went to this last year too. It's a fun event that the PTO puts together.

These two were ecstatic to see the big guy!!

Avery cuddled up to him

And then Avery got real direct with Santa (see, the hands). She had her hands going everywhere and told him she wanted Carrie for Christmas. As in, Carrie Underwood. This kid cracks me up!

We headed to Grapevine on Saturday. We wanted to go last weekend, but Jeff ended up working the whole weekend. He put in 121 hours of work the past two weeks! Plus, Brooke was sick last weekend anyways.

We enjoy walking around Grapevine. They always have their town decorated so beautiful this time of year.

The kids dropped their letters off to Santa:

We walked into one of the Christmas stores and Santa happened to be there. Avery keeps asking all the Santa's why they have that beard and where is their mouth. I will or will not say if she tugged his beard or not :-)

Grapevine's first jail:

Next, we headed over to the Gaylord Texan. They really go all out for Christmas. Their hotel is just beautiful!

checking out the fish

That night we headed to downtown McKinney. We ate at Mellow Mushroom, one of our favorite places and then caught some of the annual Parade of Lights. I love this not so little town we live in :-)

Sassy pants said "C'mon mom, take a picture."
