Painting with a Twist

Last night I went to Painting with a Twist here in McKinney with a friend of mine and some of her girlfriends. It turned out to be a super fun night, despite me not being the greatest artist!

Weekend recap

Saturday afternoon we went to our neighbors baseball game. Brooke was super excited and made Ethan a sign and cheered him on!

Saturday evening we went to the Easter service at church, and they had an egg hunt after. We ran into one of Brooke's friends from school.

Brooke took off so fast I couldn't even grab a picture of her. And then when all the eggs were hunted we couldn't find her- she sneaked off and had ate a piece of candy without asking!

Easter egg baskets hidden for the girls.

Brooke's were in her shower

Avery's was under the dining room table

Jade's were in one of the kitchen cabinets
They enjoyed finding their Easter Baskets and were super excited to check out all their goodies. They know the baskets are from Jeff and I and that the Easter Bunny and all the treat inside are just for fun- there is only one reason we celebrate Easter, and that is because Jesus is Risen!!

Our of our neighbors egged the girls Easter morning- they loved finding eggs all over the yard!

Sunday was a relaxing day for us in the morning since we went to our Easter service the night before. After lunch, we took the kids to the Dallas Zoo. Navigating the zoo was a breeze after navigating the Disney parks, lol.

This snake kept slithering everywhere Jade would put her hand... yuck- I DO NOT like snakes!

Jade wanted to ride the monkey

Brooke wanted to ride a horse...."Smile, Brooke" ... sadly this was the expression I got. Apparently she wanted to ride a different horse but someone else took it
We enjoyed going to the zoo yesterday! Avery loved the tiger best, Jade enjoyed the monkeys... Brooke kept asking if we were going to see horses. Mommy loved the lion best and the giraffes. After, we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner (with gift cards from Grandma & Grandpa!!!). This was the first year I didn't cook on Easter- it was a nice break. Sometimes it feels like a lot of work for just the 5 of us to enjoy it, and if I'm honest, usually just Jeff and I eat the food anyhow, since the little ones are super picky!
