End of January

I cannot believe Avery is already 4 months old. She is just so precious. She is an extremely happy baby and Jeff and I have been spoiling her rotten with hugs, kisses, and cuddles.... She is close to rolling over, but just can't give it that final push yet. She can hold things in her hands well, and reach for objects.

Jade clearly has an obsession with shoes... she will take off for awhile, and then all of a sudden she comes down the stairs in Brooke's shoes. She knows where they are kept, and is always trying Brooke's shoes on. She also goes in our closet downstairs and pulls out my shoes. We are in BIG trouble when the high school days get here... I can predict many of fights over clothing and shoes between these girls!

One of the women at Jeff's work is pregnant. They had a baby shower for her at work, and preferred  to receive diapers and wipes. I made this diaper cake for Jeff to bring for the shower.

Pinterest is addicting! I have tried numerous recipes that I have found on there, a lot of them have made it to my recipe box as keepers! I am a sucker for desserts... and this was a hit at our house... Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies... yummy!

Snow

We had a dusting of snow the other day...and as you know, down here that is considered a storm, and the schools were cancelled the next day. Here is Brooke's reaction to the snow (and a little 'Americas Funniest Home Video' at the end)

Mommy & Brooke

Brooke and I had a fun girls day on Saturday. We decided to forgo Brooke's nap...after lunch, Jade took her nap, and I took Brooke grocery shopping with me. We dropped off the groceries and then went to get her hair trimmed. This was her second haircut, and she really enjoyed getting sitting in the salon chair, she was all smiles. After, we went for ice cream at Maggie Moos. Brooke chose to get chocolate ice cream with rainbow sprinkles, while I opted for red velvet with kit kats, it did not disappoint! Following ice cream we stopped at Michaels (I've been in a major crafting mood, along with trying a lot of new recipes these days.... Thanks to pinterest), and then it was off to the movies. Brooke and I saw Beauty and the Beast 3D. It was great! This is by far one of my favorite movies to this day, and I was excited to spend some one on one time with Brooke and go see it together!!

Waiting for our movie to start with our 3D glasses on =)

Feeling kind of crafty...

By no means do I consider myself a "crafty" person... but if its something simple enough, than I'm up for the challenge...but than again since its simple, its not really a challenge... which is of course probably why I will do it, cause I can't fail....and if you know me, I strongly dislike failing at something... therefore, I stick with the simple crafts, because crafting really isn't my thing... maybe someday.... but not right now...

So, I will admit, I got sucked into the whole Pintersest thing. It really is amazing...I'm obsessed! I've tried out some recipes I found on there, and a bunch of other ideas/projects I've done so far or stashed away for a rainy day. Here are two recent things I created that I found on there.

#1... The Prayer Pail... I found this awesome idea of a prayer pail, which is perfect for Brooke's age. Every night she picks a stick out of the pail and prays for that person during her bedtime prayers.

Here is our pail (of course had to make it somewhat pink):

Some of our sticks:

#2 Cute little butterfly clothes pin... made this cute little bugger in less than 2 minutes. It's in Brooke's lunch box as we speak, so I'm hoping tomorrow afternoon when she opens her lunch box that she likes it =)

I've made some other things too.... one of my favorites was a book of all the Christmas cards we received. I so wish I would have saved the ones from years past, but we never did. From here on our, every card gets saved, and every year there is a new book to be made! I'm in the process of making books for all the cards Jeff has given me... for our anniversary, my birthday, valentines day, etc....

Brooke loves using her Doodle Pro (we really actually need to get a new one, this one is kind of broken and the slider/eraser doesn't work well). She has been showing some major interest in writing her letters the past few weeks. I never push her to do it, she usually just asks on her own. Here are some shots of Brooke practicing our names. She always writes her own name first, than Avery's, followed by Daddy, Jade, and Mommy (I see how I rank, nice huh?)

My dad asked if Brooke could write Grampa K... and of course, she did ;) ...So this is for BOTH Grandpas... Great Grandpa included!!!!

Every night when Brooke goes to bed.... this is what she draws. She changes it up a bit from time to time, but it's her family ;)

Jade sporting one of her new items of clothing from GG. It's nice to have something that fits Jade, she is the difficult one with clothes ;)

Thank you Auntie Tracy! Brooke received a light up/nightlight lady bug for Christmas which she uses every night. Jade kept stealing Brooke's throughout the day and turning it on and shining it against the wall.... Auntie Tracy was so sweet, and bought Jade her own, what a lucky gal she is! They both use them every night... and love them!!
And some shots of Avery... changing everyday...

And yes this is totally random, but I had the picture on phone so I decided I'd share... I'm trying to cut back on the sweets (which isn't exactly going so well, I have a major sweet tooth).... but I made S'more cups the other day and they were YUMMY ;)

We are missing everyone.... more pics to come soon!
