Brooke's 1st Day of Preschool

Today was Brooke's first day for Preschool. She goes two days a week from 9-2 for the Moms Day Out program. She was so excited to go to school this morning!!!

Brooke so proud and happy that her Daddy was there with her to drop her off, she is such a Daddy's girl!

Brooke sees her friend Connor!!! They are not in the same class though, he is in the older kids classroom.

A big hug for Daddy, saying goodbye was so easy for her! Breaks my heart a bit ....

 Brooke was all smiles when I picked her up today. She was so excited to show me the things she made. However she quickly asked me, "Where's my daddy?" When I told her that Daddy was at work, she lost it. She was in hysterics. I think it was a combination of being overtired, and confused that he dropped her off but didn't come with me to pick her back up. Overall, I think the first day was successful... we'll see how the year goes... =)

Wrapping up August

Football Season is right around the corner... and The Owens Household is getting EXCITED!!!! With every football season, comes fantasy football! Jeff still is in his fantasy league with his friends from Buffalo, but this is the 2nd season of his own league that he started down here in TN. Last year it was 8 teams, made up of mostly our neighbors. This year we have a 12 team league and he added some guys from work. Our draft took place at our house on Saturday.

The draft was a lot of fun, but it was exhausting. Juggling 20 people in the house and 2 little kids had me ready for bed as soon as everyone left. However of course I stayed up sweeping and washing the floor. I'm disappointed in my fantasy team this year, but Jeff's team is looking good!

Tried to snap some pics of Brooke and Jade when we were at the grocery store... but it was super sunny, and I can NEVER get both of them to cooperate simultaneously! Brooke starts out happy as a clam, and ends up poutting by the 4th shot...oh well one of these times I'm destined to get a good pic, right?

Brooke's had her first day of dance class at her new dance studio two weeks ago. She wanted to pose with her "sissy" before we left.

Jade always wants a picture of herself though, she just doesn't have the posing down yet, she gets right up to the camera!

Brooke's preschool / Moms Day Out program that she will be going to... The SONshine School....starts on Wednesday. Brooke is THRILLED to go to school. Today was observation day, where we went to meet her teacher, who is just assweet as pie, and see her classroom. Brooke enjoyed it and told her teacher, "I will be back on Wednesday!"

Brooke wanted to practice bringing her lunch box and backpack with her. When our friend Tracy saw her at school, she told Brooke she liked her book bag, Brooke said, "No, its not a book bag, its a BACKPACK!" Don't mess with Brooke!

September is days away... and with it will bring our 3rd bundle of joy... we are READY!

Say Cheese!

I have literally HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of pictures of Brooke, and poor Jade sometimes gets left out. Part of it is the age and not being cooperative.. so we are working on it! However... when I try to get her to pose and I say, "Say Cheese," .... this is what I get:

She's still cute, regardless, but we must master the natural smile!!!

Wrapping up July

Last weekend Brooke attended her friend Connor's 4th Birthday party. F-O-U-R... can't believe it, next year Brooke will be turning 4, and Jade 2. Time really does fly!

On Saturday we forewent Brooke's afternoon nap and headed to the movie theater. Brooke has enjoyed watching Cars the movie at home, so we thought she would enjoy seeing Cars2. Jade stayed at home with our wonderful neighbors, Sam & Jon, whom the kids just adore. When we left, Jade was down for a nap, and apparently woke up just 15 minutes before we got home.

Blurry picture... this camera has about had it... but Brooke thoroughly enjoyed her Kid Pack Snacks!

 While Brooke was pretty well behaved thoroughout the movie, we sneaked out a little early as she was getting very antsy. It didn't help that the previews were 30 minutes, and we had to sit through them all since the show was sold out, and we were lucky to get 3 seats next to each other, smack dab in the front row (WAY too close).



Brooke wanted to "play games" before we left. Jeff, of course, has no problem with this, because it brings out the kid in him =)



Later that night we invited our neighbors over to hang out for a bit and to celebrate Jeff's birthday!!

The grass was wet, from raining earlier that day, so we played cornhole on our patio instead... and we busted a couple of our bags in the process... but we had a great night with good friends.
