August is in full swing here, and already flying by. All the kids start back to school this week, which is a change, considering we are used to school not starting until after labor day up north. Brooke and Jade have both been feeling a little sick the past week or so, but I think we are finally clear (lets hope!) now.
Jeff will be starting his third week with his new job, and is absolutely loving it! Last week we went to a cookout at my friends house, whose husband happens to be Jeff's boss (thats how he got the job!). They have a little boy a few months older than Brooke and a little girl 2 months younger than Jade. We had a really nice time. It was also our first outing in our new SUV, such a nice change loading the girls up in something more roomy =) Even better news.... I FINALLY got to see Emily (my best friend). It's been over a year, and she came down for an interview with a company she interviewed with over 4 years ago. It was wonderful seeing her....but I am even more excited because she is moving down here in 4 weeks, she took the job offer! Reunited at last!
Well, hopefully I will have some pictures to post soon. The rest of the month is pretty packed. We had our neighbors over yesterday for a cookout, and have plans every weekend for the rest of this month. It sure is nice having Jeff off on weekend finally, and actually being able to make plans!
Last night we went out to dinner and to the Williamson County Fair with some of our favorite neighbors. The fair to us, natives obviously to the Erie County Fair, seemed more like a small carnival. Brooke had a ball though, because she is now tall enough to be able to go on some of the kiddie rides! We told Brooke she would have to ride alone, and she said she still wanted to do go on. So Jeff loaded her in and when he walked away, she just sat there, looking like she was going to bust out into tears. As soon as she saw some of the other kids getting in their seats, she had a huge grin on her face, and a smile ear to ear once the ride started!!!
