Point Defiance Zoo

Today we decided to take a little trip to the Point Defiance Zoo. We wanted to take advantage of the nice weather while it lasts before rainy season starts!

We weren't very impressed with the exhibits, but the zoo itself was very pretty. Brooke's three favorite things were the petting zoo, aquarium, and carousel ride.

At the aquarium she LOVED LOVED LOVED looking at the sharks, since that is one of her new words, although she says "Shhhha"

Childrens Museum of Tacoma

Yesterday we took Brooke to the Children's Museum of Tacoma, where she had tons of fun!! After, we went to Seattle for the Mariners game. They were giving away Ken Griffey Jr. Bobbleheads to the first 20,000 fans....Jeff really really wanted one, but we weren't lucky enough! The game started at 7:10 and people were lined up for the bobbleheads at 4:30!!

Below: Brooke helping herself to some fish & chips before the Mariners game. We went to a little place on the water before the game... turns out Brooke loved the fish, she especially enjoyed dipping it in ketchup =) She got spoiled too...she tried her first french fry!

Pioneer Park Concert

Yesterday we went to a concert in the park down the street. They have concerts every Thursday and Brooke loves to get out and do things!

On the Coast

We decided to drive to the coast yesterday....It's truly crazy, it was 90 degrees by our house, and in Ocean Shores, WA (which is where we went- about 2 hours away) it was 64. So yes we saw the Pacific Ocean... but no, it's not the type of beach you go to swim or lay out. Brooke enjoyed her first experience with the sand!! After we went to Red Lobster for Jeff's birthday dinner =) It was a nice day!
