Updates on House

Our real estate agent emailed us tonight a picture of the progress on our house... holy cow!! It seems to be going up so quickly. It's very exciting to see (yet, a little stressful too!)

Look at how long her eyelashes have grown:

We took Brooke out on her Power Wheels for the second time, and she enjoyed it, but still wasn't quite getting the concept of holding down the button..she would just push it once, and it would buck, hit it again, buck, etc. After we came inside she got really upset when Jeff put it away (so he caved and let her ride it in the apartment)...sure enough, she figured out how to press the button!!!

Gig Harbor/ Misc

So...we decided to drive to Gig Harbor the other day (which is only about 10-15 minutes away). Little did we know we had to go over this bridge... and there was a toll, no big deal really...we thought 75 cents, maybe a buck... but no, $4!!!! What a rip off!!!!

Brooke is now officially off the sippy cup.. it took all of but 2 seconds. I got a chance to go to the store yesterday, while Jeff stayed home with Brooke. I brought her home a Playtex cup with a straw, and she figured out how to sip out of it in less than 2 seconds, and she's been using it all day today.

Also for on the go... Brooke loves the tummy ticklers apple juice!! I got her the Cinderella topper, Clifford, and Belle. Unfortunaetly the Curious George one is retired otherwise I would be in every store in Seattle right now looking for it for her, since she loves George!

Today was a fun day... Brooke had another pageant that I happened to stumble upon earlier this week, so we decided to do it. Brooke started out the day a bit crabby (see the shirt, ha!) but of course the lil' doll is such an actress... This time I let her walk on stage, holding my hand (at the last one I held her... since the minute she has some freedom, she thinks she can take off)... but it ended up working out... She got on the stage and started prancing around waving her hand at everyone and smiling real big... the whole audience was like "aww...." it was just too cute, and Brooke loves the stage!! After it was all over...she kept running back to it trying to get up!

Anyways... She won Miss American Starlet Royal Queen for her age group....the petite miss category. She also won prettiest eyes. It was a fun day, we even saw a friend Brooke made at the Cinderella Pageant. Brooke could go to Nationals if she wants... we would get 3 nights free at a 5 star resort, Jeff and I would love to make a mini vacation out of it and go for fun... but we just have too much going on right now! I wish Jeff would have got a video of Brooke on stage, but you had to pay to take pictures and we didn't think we'd end up getting a decent shot anyways =(

The trophy on the left is pretty cool... it lights up all different colors!! The one on the right is about 30 inches, its basically the same height as Brooke.

New Toys!!

So... Today I start to smell something and I look out the window and see smoke everywhere... next people are running all over outside... come to find out, behind our apartment building there was a few small fires among the brush!!

Brooke got a Power Wheels yesterday.... its a Barbie ATV!!! We tried it out today...and she hasn't caught on just yet how to keep holding the button down... we'll try it again in a few weeks! She enjoyed it though!

15 months old today!!

Can't believe Brooke is 15 months today... time really flies!! Jeff and I took her to the doctor today. We were not able to get her height or weight since Brooke was screaming so hard and clutching to Mommy...she was absolutely terrifed!! Thank goodness no more shots until she is 2, yeah!!!

A few other updates.. Brooke likes to put her sandals away, throw out her diaper in the garbage, put the wipes away, put Mommy and Daddy's shoes away, and wipe her mouth with a napkin after she is done eating. She gets very upset if we try to do any of those things for her... she also LOVES her Curious George (thank you Aunt Arlene and Unle Tom!)
